Partnership in relations with professionals in the assessment of parents of children with neurodevelopmental disorders. Rodzina–Specjalista. Skala Oceny Partnerstwa – Polish adaptation of the Family–Professional Partnership Scale
The aim of the article is to present the procedure of Polish adaptation of the Family–Professional Partnership Scale (FPPS) developed by Jean A. Summers with the team of Beach Center on Disability, University of Kansas and also describe the psychometric properties of the adapted tool (reliability, structure factor, external validity and measurement stability). The following Polish name was used for the scale in the adaptation process: Rodzina–Specjalista. Skala Oceny Partnerstwa. The psychometric properties of the tool were verified based on research involving 334 parents of children with various neurodevelopmental disorders. Skala Oceny Partnerstwa is used to diagnose parents’ satisfaction with the partnership as a key aspect of cooperation with professionals working with their children. It consists of 18 items. It enables researchers to calculate the overall score as well as the scores in two subscales: Child-Focused Relationships and Family‑Focused Relationships. The scale has good psychometric properties and allows for conducting the testing in a relatively short time.
