Abstract
The main reason for this article is to show the issue of functioning of people with disabilities in Australia and Poland. It characterizes selected data on the phenomenon of disability in relation to both countries. It focuses on aspects such as: defining disability, the number of people with disabilities, the situation of people with disabilities on the labor market, education of people with disabilities and the level of support provided to them, both in the context of unctioning in society and preventing discrimination.
