Author Biography

Jolanta Tambor, prof. dr hab., Instytut Języka Polskiego im. I. Bajerowej, Wydział Filologiczny; Szkoła Języka i Kultury Polskiej, Uniwersytet Śląski w Katowicach, Polska.

Jej zainteresowania naukowe i badawcze koncentrują się wokół następujących zagadnień: fonetyka i fonologia współczesnego języka polskiego, język artystyczny (szczególnie prozy science fiction), sytuacja językowa na Śląsku, nauczanie języka polskiego obcokrajowców. Jest wiceprezeską Międzynarodowego Stowarzyszenia Studiów Polonistycznych, członkinią m.in. Komisji Socjolingwistyki i Komisji Kontaktów Języków Słowiańskich przy Międzynarodowym Komitecie Slawistów. Autorka książek: Język polskiej prozy fantastyczno­-naukowej(1991), Mowa Górnoślązaków oraz ich świadomość językowa i etniczna (2006, 2008), Oberschlesien – Sprache und Identität (2011), kilkakrotnie wznawianego podręcznika Fonetyka i fonologia współczesnego języka polskiego (wspólnie z Danutą Ostaszewską, 2000 i wyd. następne) oraz autorką zbioru zadań do tegoż podręcznika Fonetyka i fonologia współczesnego języka polskiego. Ćwiczenia (2007); jest też redaktorką wielu prac naukowych i popularnonaukowych.
