Abstrakt: Seniorzy i polityka senioralna w polityce publicznej
Prezentowane rozważania odnoszą się do istotnej kwestii, jaką jest miejsce polityki społecznej wobec seniorów w polityce publicznej. Podjęta problematyka wiąże się również z poczuciem bezpieczeństwa społecznego osób starszych w systemie pomocy społecznej, jest to bowiem jedyna instytucja w polskiej polityce społecznej, która zajmuje się lub powinna zajmować się kompleksową pomocą osobom starszym. W wyniku prowadzonych badań i analiz otrzymano potwierdzenie, że system wsparcia społecznego daje poczucie bezpieczeństwa w zakresie świadczeń finansowych, ale nie zaspokaja wszystkich potrzeb osób starszych. Dlatego też seniorzy dążą do podejmowania różnych aktywności, które pozwolą im zaspokoić inne potrzeby składające się na poczucie bezpieczeństwa społecznego, a także poszukują takich obszarów aktywności, które dają zarówno satysfakcję, jak i poczucie bycia potrzebnym dla innych. W dobie starzenia się społeczeństwa należy podejmować takie działania w postaci programów czy projektów, które pozwolą osobom starszym na jak najdłuższe zachowanie samodzielności i niezależności, a to oznacza, że publiczna polityka wobec osób starszych i starości winna wykraczać swym zakresem daleko poza ochronę zdrowia i pomoc społeczną jako obszary zorientowane na osoby starsze.

Abstract: Seniors and senior politics in public policy
The considerations taken up relate to the important issue of the place of social policy towards seniors in public policy. The issue is also related to the sense of social security of older people in the social welfare system, because it is the only institution in Polish social policy that deals with or should deal with comprehensive assistance to the elderly. As a result of the research and analyzes received confirmation that the social support system gives a sense of security in terms of financial benefits, but does not satisfy all the needs of older people. Therefore, seniors strive to undertake various activities that will enable them to meet other needs consisting of a sense of social security. Therefore, older people look for areas of activity that both give satisfaction and a sense of being needed for others. In the era of aging, such activities should be undertaken in the form of programs or projects that will enable elderly people to maintain their independence and independence for as long as possible. And that means that public policy towards the elderly and old age should extend far beyond health protection and social assistance as areas oriented towards older people.
