The purpose of this article is an attempt to verify corpus findings for first fifty confirmations of Russian lexemes прожить and пережить (seen as nonmetaphorical equivalents of the Polish entry unit przeżyć) and identification of collocations that would be useful in lexicographical and didactic aspects. The article presents didactic and lexicographical research context and shows previously identified language translations pairs with definitions of original entries and collocational chains, both in terms of collocational schemes and chains of typical collocants. As well as this, the author quotes corpus confirmations for first fifty findings in the basic and press corpora respectively within the National Russian Corpus. In addition, the article includes potential complementary Russian equivalents equivalents for the Polish entry unit przeżyć.
