Abstract

This article concentrates on the concept of landscape, which, according to Nina Goga’s findings, together with language, defines the place where protagonists establish deep relationships with nature within a local ecosystem. The purpose of this paper is to examine how the concept of landscape relates to the issue of listening to the biological language of nature, focusing primarily on the imagery of the forest in Scandinavian children’s literature.

Magdalena Kuczaba-Flisak, Jagiellonian University

Magdalena Kuczaba-Flisak – doktorantka na Wydziale Polonistyki Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego. Interesuje się literaturą dziecięcą i jej kontekstami, a także zagadnieniami nauczania literatury dziecięcej na poziomie akademickim. Jest członkinią Międzynarodowego Stowarzyszenia Badań nad Literaturą Dziecięcą (International Research Society for Children’s Literature, IRSCL), Stowarzyszenia Literatury Dziecięcej (Children’s Literature Association, ChLA), Międzynarodowego Stowarzyszenia Studiów Polonistycznych
