About the Czech Fairy Tale Series from the Wrocław Publishing House Afera

Abstract

The publishing house Afera was established on the initiative of Julia Różewicz in Wrocław in 2010. The main goal of the publishing house is to introduce new Czech books to the Polish market. The Wrocław publishing house offers the Czech Fairy Tale series, within which ten positions of Czech literature for children and young people have been published. In the paper, we will consider how the Czech Fairy Tale series influences the shaping of the image of Czech literature for children and young people in Poland.

DOROTA ŻYGADŁO-CZOPNIK | dr nauk humanistycznych, bohemistka, literaturoznawczyni, adiunkt w Zakładzie Bohemistyki Instytutu Filologii Słowiańskiej Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego. Członkini Centrum Badań Literatury dla Dzieci i Młodzieży oraz Centrum Transkulturowych Studiów Posttotalitarnych Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego. Jej główne zainteresowania badawcze skupiają się wokół: obrazu literatury i kultury czeskiej po aksamitnej rewolucji 1989 roku, nowoczesnej czeskiej myśli teoretycznej (dorobek czeskiej teorii literatury i teatrologii), recepcji literatury czeskiej w Polsce i polskiej w Czechach, czeskiej literatury dla dzieci i młodzieży oraz jej recepcji w Polsce. Autorka licznych publikacji oscylujących wokół problematyki tożsamościowej, pokoleniowej, dotyczącej traumy posttotalitarnej, problemów recepcji, przekładu artystycznego oraz monografii W kręgu czeskiej semiotyki teatru.
